C+W O'Brien have been commissioned as part of a wider team to support the delivery of an exciting new development in Northfleet, UK.
The Northfleet Harbourside project, is an ambitious waterfront development that promises to revitalise a currently underutilised area in Gravesend, Kent. Situated along the River Thames, the 50-acre site will be transformed into a vibrant new community, complete with new parks, green spaces and a dynamic retail and leisure destination. The development will feature 3,500 much-needed new homes, a mix of private and affordable housing, which will help address local housing demand while creating a modern, sustainable neighbourhood.
In addition to the residential component, the project will include 300,000 sq ft of retail and leisure space, offering a wide variety of shops, restaurants, bars, cafés and experiential leisure opportunities. A 300-bed hotel and 150,000 sq ft of commercial office space will further enhance the area, making Northfleet Harbourside a thriving hub of activity and a desirable destination for both locals and visitors.
The Northfleet Harbourside development will serve as a catalyst for regeneration along this stretch of the River Thames, breathing new life into the area and providing long-term benefits for the community. We are particularly excited about the positive impact this project will have on the local economy, with 3,000 new jobs expected to be created during and after construction. The development will also enhance local services, with new community facilities, medical and sports amenities and improved pedestrian and cycle paths all contributing to the area’s transformation.
One of the standout features of the project is the provision of a new 8,000-capacity stadium for Ebbsfleet United Football Club, securing the long-term future of the club and creating improved facilities for fans and the wider community. The stadium will be a focal point of the development, offering a state-of-the-art venue for sporting events and other community activities.
