William Power


William is Director of the C+W O’Brien Architect’s, working out of the Dublin office primarily. He is responsible for the day to day director of the practice as well as projects across a range of sectors that include residential, hospitality, leisure, retail, office, civic and transport sectors with projects in both the Private and Public Sector.

William has 20 years of experience in Architectural private practice working on many significant projects in Ireland, the UK and Europe. An advocate of remote working William has, when feasible been working from home 2 days a week for the past 5 years.

Previous to joining C+W O’Brien Architects William was an Associate Director for one of the largest architectural practices in Ireland where he working on many large scale developments including UCD Student Residences Masterplan (3000 Student Bedspaces), Embassy Gardens Phase 2 for Ballymore, PPP Schools Bundles, PPP Grangegorman East & West Quads and McDonagh Junction Shopping centre.

William is an advocate of digital technologies and their ability to increase work flows while reducing errors. To this end William sits on the mirror committee for the NSAI reviewing the current development of International and European BIM standards.

Since joining C+W O’Brien Architect’s William has been leading a number of major developments and masterplans including a number of large scale PRS schemes currently going through the SHD process.
