With over three decades of experience in architecture, Des has built a strong reputation across the Irish and UK construction industries. After 25 years with architectural firms in Ireland and UK, working on residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments, he joined C+W O’Brien Architects as Technical Director in 2022.
Des has extensive experience leading multidisciplinary teams and managing complex projects from concept to completion. His portfolio spans large-scale mixed-use and apartment developments, offices, hotels, shopping centres, hospitality and retail spaces, educational institutions, and industrial facilities. He has successfully delivered projects under traditional, Design & Build (D&B), and management contracts.
With over 15 years in senior management, Des brings considerable expertise in architectural design, project leadership, and team management. His ability to navigate complex construction challenges while delivering innovative, functional solutions makes him a valuable asset to any project.
