The brief was to provide a new corporate branded entrance to Dublin Port’s new inland port hub. The new corporate entrance has provided sales, marketing and security facilities for the promotion of the new inland port destination. The design incorporates shipping containers as objects of art and also functional accommodation.

The modular approach converts seven 20ft shipping containers, directly placed side by side into an on site marketing suite for Dublin Port. The use of shipping containers emphasizes the ports character and personality, creating an extension of its existing brand.

The adaptability of converted shipping containers allows for a great deal of pre-fabrication and assembly works to be carried out off-site in a controlled environment.

Once on site, this approach facilitates faster construction and allows for the temporary site building to be dissembled, moved and reassembled elsewhere.
