Architectural Technologist

Architectural Technologist
We are looking for self-motivated Architectural Technologists with an ambition to make a mark within a growing company.  Entering at a senior level we anticipate you quickly becoming a key member of our highly motivated and diverse architectural team. Our portfolio includes residential, retail, commercial, data centres and leisure projects with a strong emphasis on Modular construction.  Design, Technical Design, Team Player, Team building and motivational qualities are an essential part of your skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of statutory compliance, tender and construction documentation
  • Manage Submissions of applications for Planning Permissions
  • Design and Technical Design skills
  • Identify design issues, carry out model interrogation and respond to BIM queries in accordance with the current BS EN ISO 19650 standards and procedures
  • Client brief assimilation and management
  • People skills and motivational skills
  • Personal development ambitions
  • Negotiating with contractors and other professionals
  • Attending regular meetings with contractors and other specialists
  • Making site visits during any construction works
  • Problem solving during construction works

Essential Criteria:

  • A degree or diploma in Architectural Technology or a similar course
  • Strong knowledge of Irish construction industry and building regulations
  • Min 2 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with a range of people
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work efficiently.
  • The ability to work under own initiative and be part of a team
  • Excellent IT and administration skills
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced work environment with a high level of attention to detail
  • Revit skills and have experience/be capable of working in a BIM environment and an interest in using BIM in a systematic fashion
  • Competent in using Graphics software (e.g. InDesign / Photoshop)
